Ute Panella (b. 1966, Stuttgart, Germany) She currently lives and works in Lugano, Switzerland. She earned a BA Honours Degree in Fine Arts from Central St. Martin’s School of Art and Design in London. Panella was artist-in-residence at The Florence Trust, London from July 2009 – August 2010. Panella’s work is multi-disciplinary, with Drawing at its centre, and often includes Collage, Animation, Painting and Installation. Her research encompasses space, the way we inhabit it, and the notions of memory, history, narrative and documentation of experiences and journeys.
