Richard Long (b. 1945, Bristol, UK) lives and works in Bristol. Long studied at West of England College of Art, Bristol (1965) and St Martin’s School of Art, London (1968). Long is one of the best known land artists in the UK, using the landscape through which he walks as inspiration for his practice. His works include sculptures, texts, photography and drawings which are based on his walks. His recent solo exhibitions include: Alan Cristea Gallery, London (2015); Arnolfini, Bristol (2015); Sperone Westwater, New York (2015); Konrad Fischer Galerie, Dusseldorf (2015); and Galerie Tschudi, Zuoz (2015).
