Rhys Coren

Rhys Coren (b.1983, Plymouth, UK) lives and works in London. He graduated from Art & Visual Culture at UWE, Bristol, and is currently completing his postgraduate program at the Royal Academy of Arts, London. Working across painting, animation, sound and text, his work takes influence from music, experimental and abstract film, cartoons, poetry, people, story-telling, subculture and design. He is also the co-founder of Opening Times. Recent solo and two person shows include If We Can Dance Together, Jerwood Project Space, Jerwood, London (2014); Four to the Floor, Horatio Jr., London (2014), and Apparel & Ornament: A research project by SPACE and Rhys Coren, SPACE, London (2013). Recent group exhibitions include E-Vapor-8, Site Gallery, Sheffield (2014); Vestige, Design Museum, London (2013), and  Young London, V22, London (2013).
