Phillip Allen

Phillip Allen (b. 1967, London) lives and works in London. Studied BA Fine Art at Kingston University, London and MA Fine Art at the Royal College of Art, London. Allen is a Course Coordinator at Turps Studio Painting Programme, London; a tutor at the Royal College of Art; a visiting professor of painting at Helsinki Academy of Art; and a visiting tutor at UEL Wimbledon College of Art, Westminster University. He has also been a visiting lecturer at various colleges including The Royal Academy, Ruskin School of Art Oxford and Goldsmiths. He received the British School of Rome Abbey Scholar Award (2010). Allen was selected for British Art Show 6 (2005) as well as showing a solo presentation at PS1, New York (2003).
