PR (paula roush) is an artist and lecturer of Art & Media at the London South Bank University and the University of Westminster (London, UK). PR's work is characterised by a particular engagement with photographic media and the book form within a social-historical and archival context. PR’s projects include A Field of Interconnected Realities, a gendered genealogy of collage, and the Found Photo Foundation about the archiving and publishing of orphan photography. PR's books include A field (of interconnected realities) or The week of mash-up goodness (Roman), Queer paper gardens or the Wildlife of symbols, The past persists in the present in the form of a dream (participatory architectures, archive and revolution), Schistime and Paintball Field.

PR’s works have been shown at Museu da Electricidade and Museu Nacional de Arte Contemporânea – Museu do Chiado (Lisbon), Museum für Gegenwartskunst Siegen, The Brighton Photo Biennial, The Photographer's Gallery, South London Gallery and Space (London), P74 Gallery (Ljubljana), W139 (Amsterdam) and numerous other international museums and galleries. PR is the recipient of a Fulbright Scholarship, Centre for Media and Culture Research CMCR awards, Arts Council England grants and the Bauhaus Kolleg scholarship. Her work is in the collections of the EDP Foundation, National Art Library at the Victoria & Albert Museum, Centre Pompidou Kandinsky Library, the Museum Of Modern Art Library, the MACBA Museu d’Art Contemporani de Barcelona, and the NHS Glasgow (Clyde’s New South) Hospitals.
