Koen van den Broek

Koen van den Broek (b.1973, Belgium) lives and works in Antwerp. Studied at K.U. Leuven (1991-1993); the Royal Academy of Fine Arts, Antwerp (1993-1995); the Academy of Visual Arts St. Joost, Breda (1995-1997); and Higher Institute of Fine Arts Flanders, Antwerp (1997-2000). Career highlights include an invitation by the Flemish Government Architect and AZ Sint-Maarten (Mechelen, BE) to create an artwork for the hospital construction project architecture: VK Studio, one of the largest art integrations in Europe (2010). The artist choose to work with the entire glass facade and the work was inaugurated in October 2016.  He also created the seasonal campaign for the Opera and Ballet Flanders (2016-2017).
