Jimmy Robert

Jimmy Robert (b. 1975, Guadeloupe) lives and works in Brussels. Robert studied at Goldsmiths College, 1996-99 and Rijksakademie, Amsterdam 2004-05. In 2009, Robert was nominated for the Prix Ricard, Paris and was Follow Fluxus artist in residence at NKV, Wiesbaden. Recent solo exhibitions include: Und das nennt sich Mann…, Galerie Diana Stigter, Amsterdam; Consensus Rouge Noir, Kunsthalle, Basel. 2010: Le Bonheur d’etre Dupe (Pas de Deux), Art Concept, Paris; Art Basel Features, Galerie Diana Stigter; Concensus Rouge Noir, South London Gallery. 2009: Marriage a la Mode et Cor Anglaise, FRAC Ile-de-France/ CAC Bretigny, Miscadanses, Paris; Reprise, CCA KITAKYUSHU Project Gallery, Kitakyushu, Japan; Suspended Closure, Follow Fluxus prize exhibition, Nassauischer Kunstverein Wiesbaden, Germany; Figure de Style, Frascati, Amsterdam; Trio A, Museum of Modern Art, New York; Grey Flannel Suits Any Man, Sorcha Dallas, Glasgow.
