Eddie Peake (b. 1981, London, UK). Graduated from the Slade School of Fine Art (2006), and the Royal Academy Schools, London (2013). Peake’s art encompasses performance, video, photography, painting, sculpture and installation. One of its foci is the implicit drama within relationships between people, whether they are familial, professional, romantic, sexual, social and so on, and how things like desire, sexuality and depression impact on them. Residencies include the British School at Rome (2008-2009). Performance projects include The David Roberts Art Foundation (2012); The Tanks, Tate Modern (2012); Chisenhale Gallery (2012); The Royal Academy of Arts (2012); Cell Project Space (2012); Performa 13 (2013); The ICA (2014); Eastside Projects (2016); Tenuta Dello Scompiglio (2016); and Jeffrey Deitch (2016). Select international solo exhibitions include Barbican, London (2015); Galleria Lorcan O’Neill, Rome (2015); Peres Projects, Berlin (2014); exhibition with Prem Sahib, Southard Reid, London (2012); Focal Point Gallery, Southend (2013); White Cube, Hong Kong (2016); and White Cube, Sao Paulo (2013). His work is held in public collecitons including the Museum of Contemporary Art, Chicago, USA; Sifang Museum, Nanjing, China; and Yuz Museum, Shanghai, China.
