Corin Sworn (b.1977, London, UK) lives and works in Glasgow, Scotland. Studied BA Psychology, Minor Art History at University of British Columbia, Vancouver, CA (1994-99); BA Art and Design programme at Central Saint Martins, London, UK (2001-02); BFA Integrated Media Programme at Institute of Art & Design, Vancouver, CA (1999-2002); and MFA at The Glasgow School of Art, UK (2007-2009). Sworn creates films and installations deeply rooted in research, weaving together history with memories and fragments of true and imagined stories. Awards inlcude the MaxMara Art Prize for Women in association with Whitechapel Gallery, London, UK (2014).
