Ciara Phillips

Ciara Phillips (b. 1976 Ottawa, Canada) lives and works in Glasgow. She studied Fine Art at Queen's University, Kingston (BFA 2000) and at the Glasgow School of Art (MFA 2004) and was the recipient of the Drawing Room's Bursary Award 2013. She has an upcoming solo exhibitions at Bergen Kunsthall and is short-listed for this year's Turner Prize. Recent exhibitions include: Just You, Galerie Praterstrasse, Berlin (2014); Workshop (2010 - ongoing), The Showroom, London (2013); Function / Dysfunction: Contemporary Art from Glasgow, Neues Museum Nürnberg (2013); There will be new rules next week, Dundee Contemporary Arts (2013); And More, Inverleith House, Edinburgh (2013); The Souls: A Twice Told Tale, CEAAC, Strasbourg (2013); Slippery under pressure, OUTPOST, Norwich (2012) and Pull Everything Out, with Corita Kent at Spike Island, Bristol (2012). In 2010, Ciara started Poster Club, a collaborative project with artists Laura Aldridge, Anne-Marie Copestake, Charlie Hammond, Kendall Koppe, Tom O'Sullivan, Nicolas Party and Michael Stumpf.  Poster Club have exhibited together at Martha Street Studio, Winnipeg (2014), Dundee Contemporary Arts (2013), Glasgow Print Studio (2011) and Eastside Projects, Birmingham (2011).
