Ciara Phillips

Ciara Phillips (b. 1976 Ottawa, Canada) lives and works in Glasgow. Studied BFA at Queen’s University, Kingston, Canada and MFA at Glasgow School of Art. Phillips is the founder of the artist collective Poster Club, and was nominated for the Turner Prize (2014). She was also recipient of Drawing Room's Bursary Award (2013). Select solo exhibitions include Agnes Etherington Art Centre, Kingston (2016); Western Front, Vancouver (2016); CCA Derry-Londonderry (2016); Konsthall C, Stockholm (2015); Bergen Kunsthall (2014); The Showroom, London (2013); Neues Museum Nürnberg (2013); and Inverleith House, Edinburgh (2013). Select group exhibitions include British Art Show 8, Leeds, Edinburgh, Norwich and Southampton (2015-17); Generation: 25 Years of Contemporary Art in Scotland, the Scottish National Gallery of Modern Art (2014); I was a double at the Tang Museum, Saratoga Springs (2014); Turner Prize, Tate Britain (2014); There should be new rules next week, Dundee Contemporary Arts (2013); and a two-person exhibition with Corita Kent at Spike Island, Bristol (2012).
