Alice Creischer

Alice Creischer (b. Gerolstein, DE, 1960) lives and works in Berlin. Studied Philisophy, German Language and Literature at Düsseldorf University, DE (1981-1987). Awards and grants include the Edvard Munch Preis, Oslo (2006); Senatsstipendium, Berlin (2005); and Kunstfonds bonn (1988). The central theme of Creischer’s artistic and theoretical work is revealing processes and machinations in politics and business and their culture. For this, Creischer usually selects a real historical reference point and embeds this in a new and freely chosen narrative.
