Nicky Hirst

Nicky Hirst (b. 1963, Nottingham) lives and works in London. After studying Fine Art followed by Art and Architecture, she has pursued a parallel practice within her own studio and working collaboratively with architects. Her many projects for the public realm include the Biochemistry Building for the University of Oxford, a public art project for The Royal Albert Memorial Museum in Exeter, a work for the Passmores Secondary School in Essex, three works for the New Pharmacy Manufacturing Facility in Guy’s Hospital in London, murals for the waiting areas at Oxford Eye Hospital and a bronze balustrade for the Bulgari Hotel in London. She has contributed sculptures, drawings, collages and installations to many group and solo exhibitions in galleries around the UK and her work has been acquired by a number of public and private collections including the Saatchi Collection, Clifford Chance, Penguin Books, Arthur Andersen, Arts Council Collection and Sheffield City Art Galleries.
