Nick Goss

Nick Goss (b. 1981,Bristol, UK) lives and works in London. He graduated from the Royal Academy of Art in 2009 with a Post Graduate Diploma in Fine Art. Goss paints places that he knows and inhabits, but shy's away from any form of crisp resolution. Employing a series of layered colour fields, Goss waits for the precise moment at which a work's potential is apparent, but nothing more. Recent solo exhibitions include Tin Drum, Josh Lilley Gallery, London (2012), Herz Man Sky, Simon Preston Gallery, New York (2011) and Veverka, Josh Lilley Gallery, London (2010). Selected group exhibitions include Never Ever Land, Anna Kustera, New York (2012), Newspeak: Bristish Art Now, Saatchi Gallery, London (2011) and Jerwood Contemporary Painters, Jerwood Space, London and national tour (2011). The drawing 'blue house' is taken from an ongoing series of work that will be shown in a solo exhibition at the Simon Preston Gallery, New York, opening 10th October 2013.
