Mariele Neudecker

Mariele Neudecker (b. 1965, Dusseldorf, Germany) attended Goldsmiths’ College and Chelsea College of Art and Design. Neudecker has won many awards and prizes, undertaken numerous residencies and is included in various publications, catalogues and essays. Recent solo exhibitions include: Hinterland, Kunstmuseum Trondheim, Norway (2013); Parhelion (2012), Thomas Rehbein Gallery, Cologne, Germany; Kindertotenlieder (2011), Mariele Neudecker, Galerie Barbara Thumm, Berlin; (2010) Stay Forever and Never Come Back (2009), Aldeburgh Snape Maltings, Suffolk, UK; Winterreise (2009), various locations around the UK; and 2.5 million light years (2008), New Art Centre, Roche Court, Salisbury, UK. Recent group exhibitions include Pretannatural/Supernatural (2009), Natural History Museum, Ottawa, Canada; Otherworldly: Artist Dioramas and Small Spectacles (MAD Museum, New York, USA; and GSK Contemporary: EARTH (2009), Royal Academy of Arts, London, UK. Neudecker is the lead artist of this years HOUSE exhibition as part of the Brighton Festival 2013.
