Jo Stockham (b. 1961) studied painting at Falmouth School of Art and graduated with MA in Sculpture from Chelsea School of Art. Along with her fine art practice, Jo is a respected educator, having taught on many fine art courses throughout London (including the Slade, Goldsmiths and Chelsea) and across the UK, as well as in Weimar and Berlin. She has also undertaken educational work for major galleries including the Tate, Whitechapel and Serpentine Galleries and been resident in several schools. Since 2008, she has held the position of Professor and Head of Printmaking programme at Royal College of Art. Stockham has exhibited widely in group exhibitions in the UK and internationally, including shows in New York, Berlin, Trier and Hannover. The artist won the Neville Burston Trust award, the Conder Group sculpture prize, Whitechapel Open, and has work in the Arts Council of England, New Hall College, Kettle's Yard Collections in the UK and various private collections internationally.
